MISSION STATEMENT

At Modern Pathways To Recovery, our purpose is to provide a structured and stable environment for men recovering from disease of addiction. We set the highest standards to enable a person’s growth, foundation of development for long-term recovery, and improving the quality of life while becoming a productive member of society. A structured living environment like Modern Pathways To Recovery benefits individuals in recovery by reinforcing a substance-free lifestyle. As well as providing direct connections to the other peers in recovery, mutual support groups, and recovery support services. 

PROGRAM SUMMARY

Modern Pathways To Recovery provides a structured living environment for men, 18 years of age or older who are recovering from the disease of addiction and/or alcoholism. Modern Pathways To Recovery provides a structured and supportive drug and alcohol-free environment in a community setting. 

The setting is in the city of Athens, Georgia in a cozy and productive resident style. Each  bedroom can accommodate between 3-6 men, sharing 3 full bathrooms amongst each other. Each bedroom has adequate space to provide privacy and a comfortable living space for the residents. Public transportation is available to meetings, work, doctor, legal appointments and grocery stores are available for a minimal fee. The facility consists of 3 3-story townhouses built together and is within a .02 miles of 3 bus stops, a mile from a walking trail and park for a quiet and scenic environment to stay sober. 

Modern Pathways To Recovery is fully furnished with clean, comfortable living amenities including a comfortable living area, computer and office/school supply access, eating area, board games, and a fully equipped laundry room with a washer and dryer. Internet and WIFI access are also provided in the common areas. 

Residents stay for 12 months to get a certificate while some stay longer till they transition into self-supporting, productive and sober living. Residents are required to attend multiple 12-step meetings, work, and attend House/community groups, Big Book Study and Life skills groups on a weekly basis. 

Modern Pathways To Recovery is not a medical facility and cannot provide services for individuals with infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, mental illness, physical conditions or other secondary diagnoses, which require constant medical supervision of medical facilities. TARGET POPULATION

The population that Modern Pathways To Recovery serves are men, 21 years of age or older, who seek recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. It is a voluntary program, meaning that residents have the choice whether to enter the program and residents may choose to leave at any time during their stay. 

Many of the residents who are served by Modern Pathways To Recovery have completed intensive treatments programs, yet do not feel ready for independent living. Many have no home to return to as a result of behaviors during their active addiction. Modern Pathways To Recovery accepts referral from treatment facilities and self-referrals.

No potential resident shall be excluded on the basis of race, color, socioeconomic status, religion, creed, age, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation or identity, marital or parental status. 

PROGRAM CONCEPT

Modern Pathways To Recovery's program utilizes several 12-step programs and their groups across Athens Ga. The 12-steps, in our opinion, are proven methods of establishing long-term sobriety and recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. 

The steps build a foundation with emphasis on core elements of honesty, integrity, openness, willingness, self-reflection, spirituality, and responsibility for one’s own actions. By aligning the Modern Pathways To Recovery's program with this structure, we not only access the therapeutic value of the steps, but also establish a support system for the residents that will continue long after they graduate from Modern Pathways To Recovery.
